Maybe I am absurd.

If you believe that some weight loss fads and diet plans are too good to be true, then maybe this one falls in that category. While this resurrected diet is all the rage now, with Hollywood celebrities jumping on the cookie train, it still has its flaws. Yes, it works and some people have claimed to lose weight on the diet but for one, it don’t teach you how to eat by living on a monotonous diet, its pretty expensive – about $56 a week and many people who have tried it say the cookies taste awful.

The cookie bandwagon has spun new varieties – Hollywood Cookie Diet, Soypal cookies, and Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet. Siegal states that the protein and fiber in his cookies produce its appetite suppresing effects, but there’s protein and fiber in regular healthy diet.

For me, this 800 calorie-a-day diet gets quick results for weight loss, but for how long? When you get back to your typical diet lifestyle and the pounds creep back on, how will you feel jumping back on the weight loss train? I prefer a more regular low-calorie diet than jumping on a quick fix.

If there are any Cookie Diet users out there, I’d love to hear from you about your experiences. Please leave a comment below.
