First is to build your abs, the upper, lower and side abdomen, which is also known as the ‘six-pack’ because of its anatomical structure.  Abdominal exercises will not totally remove abdominal fat not unless done with a weight-loss program that is focused on strengthening the muscles of your abdomen.  Having more muscles in your tummy will boost up your metabolism thus giving you better tone and definition.  Build your abs according to your preference.  If you’re a woman and would only like to have a toned and flat stomach, use a routine that would only help you trim down the fat.  If you’re a man and would like to see and feel that hard six-pack core, use a high intensity resistance routine.

Second is to trim your waistline.  It would not be pleasant to the eyes if you have a flat and toned tummy but with a wide waistline, right?  There are a lot of ways to trim down your waistline and these includes Pilates workouts that involves stretching and breathing exercises that helps in trimming your waistline.

In doing these techniques, proper breathing and posture is important.  Proper breathing coupled with correct posture can help you relax and lessen muscle tension while doing your routine thus giving you effective results.  Getting rid of your love handles is really not that hard.
